EMMANUEL JOSE

Certified Digital Marketing PRO

Hello! Nice to meet you.

When I was younger I aspired to become a doctor. Not until I discovered I have hemophobia, the fear of blood, and just the thought of it makes me nervous and dizzy.

Growing up, I used to write short stories and poems. I love to gather my friends around and share my written pieces. My career path significantly geared towards the communication arts since high school.

I earned my bachelor’s degree in Journalism at Saint Mary’s University, Philippines. It is where I learned the ins and outs of the media communications world. I have developed different writing styles and methods, studied photography, and learned public relations, advertising, and graphic design.

My previous job as a communications officer in a government-run university gave me the opportunity to apply what I have learned in PR to the business side of things. Side-by-side, I have delivered strategic communications and marketing products for a tertiary-level hospital. (At least, I got to work first-hand with doctors, right?)

In 2018, I moved to the sunny Cayman Islands and pursue my passion for digital media and communications as a digital specialist.

On weekends and during my time-offs, I roam the streets of George Town to photograph and interview people for my passion project People of Cayman. I hope to stage a photo exhibit one day and share these stories with the world — one story at a time.
